Meet Our Management Team
Charlie Duffy grew up in Baldwinsville NY and moved to Rochester in 2011. While he has been employed in an animal-related field for the last 8 years, he has been VSES's Training Administrator since 2016 and enjoys being able to support a team that is so dedicated to the highest level of patient care.
Charlie enjoys camping, hiking, and doing agility with his Pit Bull Yukon. He also has a cat named Hedwig and five Silver Sebright Chickens named: Homer, Huron, Myrtle, Florence, and Bernice. Charlie also fosters dogs for several local rescues.
Kadie was born and raised in Tully, NY. She has been working full time with MVA since 2013 and holds the title of Emergency Supervisor. Since the age of 14, she has been working in animal-related fields. Being raised on a Dairy Farm, caring for animals has been second nature for Kadie. She loves the challenges that the emergency setting presents. Every day is different and the variety of cases never gets old for her. The feeling of success after watching a critical surgical case get to go home is one of the most rewarding parts for her.
Growing up around animals on top of being an animal lover, Kadie naturally grew up to have several pets of her own! Kadie, along with her husband, have four cats named Murphy, Rango, Krueger, and Maggot, a dog named Gambit (Aussie mix), a guinea pig named Newt (Teddy bear mix), a rabbit named Athena, two Russian tortoises named Ivan and Anya, a leopard gecko named Zilla, two dumpy tree frogs named Dudley and Dolores, a bearded dragon named Sprocket, and numerous fish in her 90, (2) 75, 20, and 5 gallon tanks.
When she’s not training, feeding, playing, or cleaning up after her pets, she likes to hike, read, work on sewing projects, and tutor at Medaille College’s Vet Tech program.
Erin Watson was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, lived in California for eight years, and moved to the Rochester area to be closer to her family. While in California, she worked as an RVT but she is now a LVT Supervisor and has been in working in the animal-related field since 2009.
Erin enjoys helping animals have a great quality of life. It particularly amazes her how her patients normally understand that she is there to take care of them and that they show gratitude in sweet ways such as a kiss or head bump.
She has a dog named Bugsy (Boston Terrier/Pug) and two cats named Zeddicus (Domestic Shorthair tuxedo) and Toad (Domestic Shorthair white/gray tabby). For fun, Erin enjoys helping her husband teach kickboxing in Geneva. She also likes gardening, reading, and going for hikes with her husband, son and Bugsy.
Evelyn Schug, LVT
Evelyn Schug has been working in the animal care industry for over 10 years. A full time member of our staff since 2004, she is a licensed veterinary technician and is fond of the fast-paced environment at VSES. She enjoys meeting pets and their owners and is proud to be able to make a difference in their lives.
Evelyn's four-legged companions include Boadi, a female Staffordshire Terrier mix, and Mouse, a female Corgi mix. When she is not helping to care for animals at VSES, Evelyn enjoys gardening, listening to music, spending time with her dogs and traveling as much as she can.

Her “little menagerie” consists of her four cats: Riza, General Iroh, Jackson and Lilith, three snakes: Aerith, The Iron Sheik and Rassius Ohno, a leopard gecko named Carmella and two fish tanks.
