Meet Our Service Coordinators
Neurology Coordinator Ally Gridley enjoys helping sick animals and being there for the owners while their family member is undergoing treatment. A member of our staff since 2004, Ally feels very fortunate to work with highly skilled veterinarians who strive for excellence in quality patient care.
Ally is "Mom" to three Staffordshire Terriers, Ava-Blue, Lucy Lou, and Aerosmith; and four cats, Charlie, Ogee, Hazlitt, and Keuka. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, road trips, antiquing, home renovations and spending time with her family.
Internal Medicine Coordinator
Heather grew up in Lima, NY. She has been working with animals since 2002. She has been an Internal Medicine Coordinator at VSES since June 2006. Heather enjoys working with animals because "it allows for a sense of accomplishment that we can help in some way to make them better."
In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, friends and animals. She also enjoys reading, wine tasting and antiquing. Heather's animals include an American Staffordshire terrier named Pickles, a pit bull mix named Daphne, a Staffordshire bull terrier mix named Buster, one cat named Crash, and three bearded dragons.
Internal Medicine & Surgery Coordinator
Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Jeanine has worked with VSES since October 2011. She has an associate’s degree in Business, a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies, and graduated from Medaille College’s Licensed Veterinary Technician program. Jeanine also served in the U.S. Air Force.
She enjoys working at VSES because every day is a new adventure. When not caring for the animals at VSES, Jeanine enjoys reading, writing and spending time with her husband, three sons, and her three dogs, Charley, Dallas, and Bruiser.
Christina Gardner, LVT
Ophthalmology veterinary technician Christina Gardner has worked at VSES since 1998. She is licensed in New York State and also holds an associate's degree from the State University of New York at Delhi.
Christina enjoys her work as an ophthalmology veterinary technician because of the wide variety of services she and the hospital are able to provide to the community and its pets. When she is not helping to care for animals at VSES, Christina prefers to spend her time with her husband, daughter, and son. Together, they enjoy camping, watching movies and visiting with friends. The four-legged members of the family are Oscar, a Dachshund, and Comanche, an Australian Cattle Dog.
Kim Turk, LVT
Born and raised in the Finger Lakes region, Kim Turk has been a full-time licensed veterinary technician (LVT) since 2000. She received her associate's degree in Animal Science from SUNY Delhi.
She enjoys working at VSES because of the diverse opportunities available at the hospital. For example, Kim has worked in emergency, oncology and now radiology coordinator. She has also filled in for ophthalmology and MRI.
Kim shares her home with two dogs, Soleil and Brogan. During her free time, she enjoys watching sports, cooking, and camping.
Robyn Woodward is a Surgery Coordinator with more than five years of professional animal care experience.
Asked what she likes most about her work Robyn says it’s the diversity of cases and being part of the high quality of care being offered at Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care.
At home, she has three cats named Yuri, Marcus and Ritchie, and two dogs, both Greyhounds, named Novi and Apex. She also enjoys hiking, wildlife photography, gardening, reading, playing with her dogs, and volunteering for her local Greyhound adoption group.
Emergency Coordinator Martinique Bonter has always loved animals and has worked in the animal care field for nine years. She joined the VSES staff in 2001 and is the emergency coordinator. Martinique has an Associate in Science degree from Monroe Community College. Martinique believes her employment at VSES has given her the ability to see and apply a higher standard of care for animals. She also loves the one-on-one relationship she has with her allergy clients.
When she is not caring for animals at the hospital you can find Martinique camping, watching movies, gardening or swimming. She loves spending quality time with her friends, family and her pets, comprised of Mork, her twelve-year-old cat, and her tank of fish.
Nora Yogis, LVT
Nora Yogis is an Emergency Coordinator at VSES. She is a licensed veterinary technician and had been working in the animal-care industry for 29 years.
Nora shares her home with her husband and children. They have one ferret named Marty and four cats named Brooklyn, LB, Keely, and Bearette. She is an amateur painter who also enjoys sewing and crocheting in her free time.
Lucille McNamara has been working as Emergency Coordinator at VSES for nearly two years, but has been working in the animal-care industry for six years.
She has a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and is certified in wilderness survival. Lucille is currently in school to become a licensed veterinary technician.
She shares her home with her dog, Remington Maximus Steele. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with Remington, running, coloring, and reading.
Nikki is a native of Greece, NY and has been working at VSES for over five years. As a surgery coordinator, Nikki loves being a part of the surgery department and working with such a talented group of people.
In her free time, Nikki enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, biking on the trails around Rochester, enjoying the outdoors, and hanging out with her Pekapoo, Bud.
Jena is from Fabius, NY and has been working in the animal-related field since 2012. Jena joined Monroe Veterinary Associates as a client service representative for Penfield Veterinary Hospital in 2013 and joined the VSES team in the spring of 2016. She also has a bachelor’s degree from St. John Fisher.
When not at work, Jena enjoys exercising and outdoor activities. She also enjoys spending time with her canine companions, Myla and Braylon.
Isaac grew up in Brockport, NY and has worked for VSES since 2011. He enjoys working in the emergency service because there is always something new and different happening, and of course, helping animals is fun too!
Isaac shares his home with his three dogs: Dave, a Great Dane, Norbert and Mateo, both Dachshunds, and his cat, Dora. In his free time, Isaac enjoys watching movies, hanging out with friends, playing basketball, and going on walks with his dogs.
